You can take sensible measures but most are redundant. Channel that energy into properly screening checked bags or something. Only about 10% or some equally tiny number of checked bags actually get screened. Might be worth it instead of insisting you can't bring that sealed bottle of Pepsi through security. I think the whole security thing is stupid. Sure, check people for bombs and whatnot, but the little piddly liquids thing and taking off your shoes thing is a bit excessive. If a terrorist is going to blow up a plane, they're going to blow up a plane. They know all the rules and regulations and what security is looking for, so they just think of easy ways around it. There's no stopping anyone if that's on their agenda and they've got a modicum of intelligence. Crap, now I'm going on the no-fly list. I’m cracking up at the Shirley Temple thing, hahaha!

No doubt he was going to amend it with, "...and had a naked young lady serving me my breakfast," but perhaps he was too busy salivating at the idea of playing cards and beating all of us and forgot to add it.
